Multiple NSC officials were relieved of their duties following an activist's discussion with the President.
The White House has dismissed several senior personnel from the National Security Council (NSC) after a meeting involving President
Donald Trump and far-right activist Laura Loomer.
Those relieved of their duties include Brian Walsh, the Director for Intelligence; Thomas Boodry, the Senior Director for Legislative Affairs; and David Feith, the Senior Director responsible for Technology and National Security.
Reports suggest that Loomer presented findings to President Trump, urging the dismissal of NSC staff she believed were not adequately supportive of the administration's objectives.
National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, Vice President JD Vance, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and Sergio Gor, Director of the Presidential Personnel Office, were also present at the meeting.
In a statement, Loomer reiterated her dedication to advancing the President's agenda and highlighted the necessity of rigorous vetting procedures to protect national security.
The White House has opted not to comment on the changes in personnel.
These events follow a recent episode involving the NSC, in which officials mistakenly included a journalist in a private messaging thread that discussed military operations.
