Dodgers to Visit White House in Honor of Back-to-Back World Series Triumph

Dodgers to Visit White House in Honor of Back-to-Back World Series Triumph

Los Angeles champions plan traditional celebration at the White House following their 2025 World Series victory, with timing yet to be confirmed
The Los Angeles Dodgers are preparing to visit the White House in recognition of their consecutive World Series championships, with the team and the Trump administration in contact to schedule the long-standing celebratory tradition.

The 2025 World Series champions — the first franchise to win back-to-back titles since the late 1990s — received an invitation from President Donald Trump and are expected to attend a formal ceremony in Washington, D.C., although a specific date has not yet been finalised.

This visit would follow the Dodgers’ previous trips to the White House after their 2020 and 2024 championships, under both President Joe Biden and President Trump respectively.

While team officials have declined detailed comment on the arrangements, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has signalled a willingness to uphold the ritual of celebrating the club’s achievement at the nation’s capital.

Roberts has emphasised that players and staff see the visit as a longstanding part of baseball culture rather than a political statement, stressing respect for the honour of meeting the president regardless of broader societal debates.

Several players have previously participated in White House events, and last year all members of the reigning championship roster who travelled were present for the reception.

The celebration comes amid discussions among segments of the fanbase and community groups about whether championship teams should continue the tradition, with calls from some advocates urging the Dodgers to forgo the visit in light of broader political and social issues.

However, the club’s historic approach has been to embrace the opportunity to meet the president and mark their sporting success on the national stage.

The Dodgers’ first trip this season to Washington is expected around the weekend of April three through five, when they are scheduled to play the Nationals, and it is widely anticipated that the White House ceremony could be arranged in proximity to those dates.
